This is a funky problem.
I created an SAPUI5 application deployed on the CRM WAS. Everything looks great in IE10.
As you might know, the portal (7.00) goes crazy without compatibility mode enabled in IE10.
I created an iView in the portal for the SAPUI5 application.
With compatibility mode enabled- portal looks great, SAPUI5 iView goes crazy. No errors in the console, but it doesn't look right. Panels and navigation bars specifically.
With compatibility mode disabled- portal goes crazy, SAPUI5 iVew looks great. Slew of errors in the console from the portal.
Any solution to this impasse that I'm missing?
Hi Ryan,
Please apply SAP Note 1895989 and check. Please update if it still doesn't works.

Hi Ryan,
What SP are you on for EP 7.00? I am not sure but maybe check the latest service pack and see if "standards mode" support is included. Otherwise I think you may just need to upgrade your portal to 7.3 or 7.4 .
A work around may be to open the SAPUI5 app in a new window, then the browser can adapt and start standards mode for the newly spawned window, but continue to use quirks mode for the portal.
Hth,
Simon

Hi Ryan,
Right, so you are serving the UI5 apps out of the portal itself, they are not coming from a different server. Yes in that case I'm not sure there is a way around it other than upgrading the portal, but it sounds like you have been beating that drum for a while .
You might want to try posting this in the Portal space, as you may get more response from portal people there. I will ask if he has any ideas for you too.
Sorry I can't help more,
Simon
