Hierarchy report

Hi,

I am doing some reports on hierarchies.

My problem is that i have a heirarchy that has changed an year ago. and when i run reports for these 2 diff dates i still get the same numbers shouldnt i be getting different.

or can someone tell me How to enter a date-effective change to a hierarchy, or to indicate that a hierarchy is date-effective.

Hi Vijayanti,

Go to the hierarchy and click on the "header data" button. It would display when the hierarchy was lst changed. If it has not been loaded in a long time you can then load it.

thanx for your help.

let me explain whats going on here.

I have a Balance sheet report which gives me the 4 year hierarchy comparison. for 6/2002, 6/2003, 6/2004, 6/2005. where 6/2005 is the fical year/period varaible i selected.

I also have variables for Consolidation group and consolidation group hierarchy.

when i pick the cons group hierarchy with date 06/2005 and run the query i get 30,284. with fiscal period 6/2005

And when i run the query again with the cons group hier with date 12/2004 and fiscal period 6/2005 i get the same numbers here too i am suppose to get a different number.

I am not sure if i am clear to you. what i am doing is pick a hierarchy with different dates.

The cons group and fiscal period are the same only the cons group hier date is different.

Any help is appreciated.

Hey Bhanu,

I guess it was loaded, i came in heer only a cpl of months back. How can i confirm that it was loaded again in BW or not? is there a way to check on that.

You could try to look at the hierarchy and compare it with the one in your source system. Can you reload this heirarchy to be sure that the new one is in BW? Also check that it is active.

Hi Bhanu,

The scenario is like this this is in SEM BCS. A BCS Hierarchy, and BW is also Iin SEM so any changes made to in BCS are reflected here i guess i am not sure.

So can you tell when i gotta do now.
