Hi friends!
Does anybody have any expierence in that solution for SBO? If so, could you describe merits and demerits?
Which area of business processes have you implemented using that tool?
Thanx for your replies!
P.S: <i>please, give any suggestions as soon as possible, i need to make a decision till tomorrow</i>
Hi Alexey,
I attended a week iBolt basic training course and then another week advanced training in Israel. The training was not Special Edition (Business One) specific. This training was earlier this year. I have not worked with iBolt much, but was involved in creating a demo project about a week ago. We created a web site where a client could look up his details or request to become a business partner. The data is extracted from SBO. When requesting to become a member a lead is created in SBO and also an alert. This project took about 2 hours to complete - no code, just dragging and dropping and a bit of Frontpage.
iBolt has exposed all the business objects that currently exists inside SBO. They interface with SBO using SDK and XML.
We also use it in a couple of sites for multi-site integration. But I have no details on this, just know it was demo successful.
I will see if I can get more information and if you have specific questions I would gladly answer them - or try and find an answer
Regards,
Adele

Hi Alexey,
I don't understand your post that well, but will try to answer. I did not say you won't be able to create it faster in iBolt than in SDK. All I'm saying is that you don't need to know how to write code to use iBolt (it is an advantage to know how applications and data flow works).
There are a lot of cool features in iBolt. I can't remember then off the top of my head, but you can do a lot of nice things, like scan directory for arrival of file (setup will take a couple of minutes), get the data from that file and do something with it (e.g. write it to SBO). The SBO integration works, I guess that's the most important.
I believe that they have made a lot of enhancements to iBolt since my training in May this year and I am looking forward to seeing it. They are constantly busy with reasearch, upgrades and enhancements. I understand they also have some developers dedicated to the SBO interface.
I hope this helps you. If you want to read more, I think there is a yahoo group with iBolt information.
Regards,
Adele

there is also the comprehensive documentation available
here is the link
Thanx, Indika!
i suppose i've learnt everything at http://www.magicsoftware.com as regards the IBOLT SE.
there in no any full manual or decsription of all the functions, that's why i ask you to share you opinion and knowledge.
thanx!
Hi Alexey,
You've probably seen this document as well, but it's worth a try. Go to https://www.sdn.sap.com/sdn/developerareas/businessone.sdn?node=linkDnode10 and download the PDF document called "Magic SoftwareOffers GUI-based Integration Suite". I couldn't open it in IE, but works if you right click and save...

iBolt is definitely a great tool. We sell it with every Business One contract as it answers so many customer requirements.
Basic feature are:
- Integration with SAP B1 (possibility to trigger action in B1, extract, import and control data)
- File management (in 1 minute, I can create a project that will take a file from one folder, put it to another one, send the file by email)
- Interaction with .Net component
- a very powerfull data mapper (XML->text->html->csv etc.)
I've done one big project (receiving orders fron Excel (create product and BP if needed), importing them in Business One and sending XML information to a production software. Development time: 2 days only.
Cheers,
Vincent
Hi Indika!
i have successfully finished iBOLT SE course about 2 weeks ago. We had 2 weeks of training, the first one has focused our attention to theory of iBOLT integration, during the second one we was practicing in iBOLT-implementation.
So, i can conclude that iBOLT is a really powerful integration platform; it supports a lot of DB types, flat files of different formats, XML'n'XSD, file management routines, web-based applications, it includes a lot of useful components and connectors to involve in integration process such things as COM, EJB, FTP, HTTP, SMS, eMAIL, MessageQueues (MS, WebSphere, JMS), BAM, Domino, FedEx, SNMP, En/Decription, Archivating..
