Hi,
Am new to sap HCM, after going through different threads i got some idea about positive and negative TE. i need few more clarification to b done .
as i know
Positive Time Management we have two types of recordings:
1. With Clock times - Complete time recording is captured
2. With out Clock times - Only Number of hours worked is captured
Negative time Management:
No clock times and assumed employee is working unless and until his or her absences are entered.
in +ve Time management, master data we update or upload IT2011(clockin/clock out) and IT50 (card number) so we will come to know employees check in and check out , absence ,overtime etc..
where as in Negative Time how will we capture the time, as i know it capture only deviation , how will i maintain ? does it automatically calculate or we have to maintain it in IT 2001.
for -ve TM can we maintain IT50?
my question how will we track employee taken off for 2 hrs(suppose WSR is 8 hrs he/she is on leave for 2 hrs).
please clarify my doubt
Hi Bhama ,
Query : where as in Negative Time how will we capture the time, as i know it capture only deviation , how will i maintain ? does it automatically calculate or we have to maintain it in IT 2001.
Solution : you can do the time capture by using CATS concept , by using CAT2 transaction employee book the time sheets as per wsr.
IT0007 is a mandatory in time mgt , you generated the WSR as 8hrs per day, you can check this in PSP table in time log.
Else try to check time clusters , Goto SE38 -- enter program name RPCLSTB2 and execute.
for -ve TM can we maintain IT50? - Yes, both IT2011 and IT0050 is mandatory infotypes in +ve time, once you updated / upload the time events from non sap to sap , IT50 is automatically updated.
With help of abap team ,they develop the abap code based on your business and updated frequency in IT2011.
my question how will we track employee taken off for 2 hrs(suppose WSR is 8 hrs he/she is on leave for 2 hrs).
For this , you need to configure absence type and maintain master data by using IT2001.
one example : absence types are Voting leave or doctor appointment
employee book the absence hours 3hrs or 5hours , you need to book in IT2001.

Please check Useful documents for Schema & PCR configuration:
such as: Early or Late coming and generation OT by T555Z & Relationship Time Evaluation and Payroll & Understanding Relationship PT and PY.
The most importance is F1 key and T-code PDSY. Hope you can control it soon.

Hi
Few more thing i have to get clear , as khedhar mentioned
In -ve monthly you need to analyse the attendance reports of employee & need to take necessary actions accordingly".
suppose organization has say 2000 employees , we have to maintained WSR in IT0007 for all employees. as shiva said we have to create IT2001 am clear with that
my question is that how will the end user know that which person is on leave or who have worked overtime. suppose employee taken 3 hrs extra we have to maintain in IT2002 as an extra 3 hrs as overtime . "my question is from which report end user will come to know he/she has worked overtime"
where as in +ve TM we will maintain IT50 and IT2011 so they can track clock in/clock out and overtime etc for each employee
my question seems to be silly but am confused with the process. this is for my knowledge
Appreciate your answer

Hi Bhama,
In -ve you need to maintain 2001 & system won't calc manually, if any LOP is there in 2001 then only system will deduct the salary otherwise it will pay full salary,
-ve not required it0050 & you can use it2002 for attendance data maintenance,
In -ve monthly you need to analyse the attendance reports of employee & need to take necessary actions accordingly.
