automated check for new Patches (new patch level)?

Hello,

is there any possibility to check the latest patch level for JAVA components (eg. somewhere in MOPZ, ..) as long as we are on same SP? I can check them via service market place one by one…. but it’s time consuming.

Thanks for any feedback,

Vladimir

Have you taken a look at the EWA for the system, it has this information for ABAP and Java systems.

EWA is reporting about the latest SP no PL (patch level). What I am trying is determinate the latest patch level for my components on SP stack 9

Apologies I missed patch level last night, I also noticed this with my SolMan EWAs and in the back of my mind I had the same line of thinking as you.

Try this out with Solution Manager:

Within your work centers start with 'Change Management' > System Recommendations > Product system drop down (select your java system) > Apply Filter button

I see Support package name aka SP levels, but there is a Priority column also showing patch level numbers I believe.  I have ADSSAP component on SP12 on this system and if the version 4 should be the patch level; looking on the market patch level 4 is the latest for SP12.

hi,

you can also get the latest patch release and future schedule in central place in PAM also, ofcourse you need smp login, chk https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/support/pam/pam.html?smpsrv=https%253a%252f%252...

also from the side effect note releases for the particular componet,

But best approach would be EWA.

Thx.

Hello Vladimir,

To check the latest patch available in SMP for your JAVA or ABAP system , you can follow below independent steps :-

1. In MOPZ itself (under operation/enhancement pack ), when you will try to upgrade your SP level (of netweaver / solution manager or any application selected in MOPZ ) or EHP level ,on selecting automatic calculation, it always checks the latest patches available in SMP and adjust the same in download manager. So, it overcomes the manual efforts in finding each and every peripheral components in SMP individually.

2. Secondly , as Billy has suggested , you can get the details in EWA report for that system (satellite system) by configuring it in your solution manager.

Nilutpal.

I am on last SPS (SAP Netweaver 7.3 SP Stack 9) and now i would like to apply only available patches for this stack. Mopz calculated patches only with new stack. If i select same stack then it did not find new patches

regarding. EWA report - we run into issue with ewa reports and therefore I can not check in this way
