Hi All,
My customer requested me to setup a WH completely run on my customer SAP, however I had some bad experiences with SAP WMS in the past.
I managed a WH before on SAP and at that time we had issues putting the same SKU on multiple locations in SAP. In other words, when a SKU on 3 pallets came in, we had to assign the SKU to 1 location, and we blocked the other 2. We could not assign different quantities of the same inbound SKU to individual locations.
I'm not sure if the short comming was caussed by not having the correct modules of SAP installed, or if this is a problem which is normal for SAP.
Can somebody advise me if this is a SAP issue in general or just getting the correct module?
Thanks!
Joep
Hi,
To assign different quantitites of the same SKU to different storage types you can use SUT (Storage Unit Type).
In Material Master you assign up to three different SUT per material.
In Storage Type configuration you can decide which Storage Type is allowed to handle a particual SUT.
