Dear,
I configured my SAP Idm 7.2 SP 8 with the guide "implementation guide - Creating role approvals 7.2 (5-)" and "SAP NetWeaver Identity Management for SAP System Landscapes: Configuration Guide (4.3.2-)" also I read a lot of threats, but I don't find the reason, why my approve doesn't get a mail.
At the end of the workflow, my user get the notification, that a role is assigned to him.
Has anyone worked with it yet?
Best regards,
Hans
OK, I found the issue. I use the notification task from the SAP Framework. Now I create a task from the approvals notification template. and it 's running.
Thanks,
Hans

Hi Tietjen
Can you post some more information? As I understand it, you are just missing the approval required notification?
I suggest a screenshot of the config for the approval / notification task. There are a number of things it can be:
- notification not set on the approval task
- notification repository not set up properly
- notification type not enabled
...

If its sending it when you 'hard code' an approver role, you might want to check that the Pending Value Object has the right approvers on it I must admit I've never really used the notification task for approvals - old school we used to have it triggered on task launch.
Is that an indication I've been doing it too long?
Anyway - if the notification task isn't getting triggered at all, I'd suggest that it can't resolve the approver from the Pending Value Object. If the task is triggering but failing, its more likely in the notificaiton configuration.

So the process is running all the way through without pausing for the supervisor approval?
First off, can your system send mail normally?
