Hi Everyone,

I am using Query browser for BICS connection. I am creating a query for BICS connection and putting filter for this. I am using this for query prompt selector. I want to select multiple values for this , How to enable multiple selection for dashboard variables ( Not at BEx level / BEx variable ).

Regards,

Vaishali Wadhwa.

Hi, you can just create a prompt at your query panel level.

1. Add the object you want to filter on in the Filter part

2. Change the Operator to In List

3. Switch the filter to Prompt

4. Just drag and drop the prompt into your canvas and preview

Hi Vaishali

I see almost the same question in another thread by you called Query Browser BEx variable and Dashboard Variable

I have replied there. Is it the same issue?

Thanks

Hello All,

I have similar situation and in addition to that i also have another value to show base don the selection from Query Prompt (hierarchical data) eg. Select State and will refresh the second list with all the city. Refer below

When user selects Service Area, MOB will be refreshed with the associated values of Service Area. Each Service Area will have multiple MOB's. In this case what user wants to see on Graph is ...user will select the Service Area, Graph should show the associated values of Service Area. Further user will go and select the MOB having Service Area selected. Graph should display values for both Service Area and MOB.

Currently what is happening is when i select the Service Area and hit refresh component it is showing graph for all the Service Areas not just for the selected one. It will show the accurate values only when user selects Service Area and at least one MOB from the MOB list. I am struggling to make this happen ..not sure if there is any other way to bring the Query Prompt like below...

The above snapshot is for OLAP based datasource..something similar can we have for Relational data source. If not query component..i am ok with any other. We have 15 Service Areas and under each of the Service Area we ill have 35 MOB's . Appreciate any help in this regard.

HI Shaik,

Did you find hierarchical data filtering on relation database? I do have similar requirement to create cascade filters with multiple selections of LOVs.

Thanks,
