RFC as Sender

Hello..

i have a scenario of Rfc as sender and FTp as receievr. iahve seen michals blog of "RFC as sender". Here wot i dont understand is how the connection between the R3 and the FTp server is made..

i assign the appln g/w and server name but how the data from R3 to Ftp gets done..??

isnt it that i have to make 2 connections ,one in R3 and one in FTP..?

just wanna know the connection of R3 to FTp..

Regards..

    >> i assign the appln g/w and server name but how the data from R3 to Ftp gets done..??

All these parameter are given sm59 to extablish a connection with XI not with FTP adapetr.Once the message will reach the XI from RFC ,the FTP adapter will do the rest.

    >>isnt it that i have to make 2 connections ,one in R3 and one in FTP..?

No. U need only one connection that is from R/3 to XI.

      Hi,

      - First Create the sm59 Destination with progID.

      - Create a RFC Communication Channel wich registered to your sm59 progID.

      - Than call your function with your destination.

Don't forget to make the configuration of your scenario.

      And it will work. 😉

      Regards,

      Robin

    One question:

are you writing the response from the rfc or the request itself???

Are you looking at a RFC response for your scenario ? If so then you have to look at sync-Async bridge using BPM.

If your RFC call is asynchronous, then its a straightforward config , and michal's blog should help you do it with ease

    cheers
