Hi,
We had some weeks ago BO XI 3.1 with some reports, everything was good.
We have created a new environment, with :
- Windows 2008 R2 64 bits standard with 4 CPU and 20Giga of RAM
- SQL 2008 R2 64 bits standard
- BO XI 4.0 SP3 64 bits
We have migrated the report to the new server, and now it’s take a long time to have the report
(1 minute versus 15 seconds). Same problem with all report.
Could you please help us to troubleshoot?
Thanks a lot in advance
If you still have both 3.1 and 4.0 environments, it worth looking at the SQL query for a report and compare between the environments.

Hello Marc,
is the report in BI4 still using the XI 3.1 Universe ?

Try to open the documents, refresh, save and then check the response times again.
You can also try to get some end to end traces to see where time is consumed

Hi,
It sounds like you're hitting a problem.. testing a single webi reports should not occupy 1 entire cpu (25% of a quad core)
I can't recommend 'vanilla' FP03 (SP03) - that was a pre-release "ramp up" version, and went "generally available" on SP04 actually. This was ~ 12 months ago.
Since then, we only have SP05 and SP06 that are now actively maintained, so all the latest code/bug fixes are in the later Patch5.x or Patch6.x
I would recommend that you move to a later SP + Patch level and retest - at least that way, when you contact Support, it will make for a more meaningful interaction.
Regards,
H
Hi Marc,
Could you also check the working of the reports in the client tools rather than web interface? - like Interactive Analysis or Webi Rich Client...
Also if feasible can we create a test report which might be similar to the one which are tested and monitor the processing of it? - this can guide us if the issue is only with migrated reports or new reports as well..
thanks,
Arun
