Hi All,

Good day!

I having difficulties in pointing out what are the possible reasons why these two documents (screenshot below) with the same posting date have different exchange rate conversion.

Other Info:

Local Currency: PHP

Document Currency:USD

Figure 1

Figure 2

Any info will be very much appreciated.

Hi,

There could be 3 possible causes for this:

  1. The rate was maintained earlier as 42.22 and subsequently the rate was changed to 41.95, this option is ruled out because the posting time of 42.22 rate is latter than 41.95 and the rate in OB08 is 41.95
  2. The rate 42.22 has been entered manually by the person making the payment. This I suspect is the cause of same rate.
  3. The Direct quote exists for USD/PHP. Check whether a direct quote exists in OB08.

Thank You.

Hi Ameet,

Thank you for the reply.

Here is the screenshot of the direct quote. Does it matter? they have the same amount in Indirect quote

Hi,

Since the rate is same it will not matter.

I tend to agree with Nakula that the rates were changed but thrice: original entry 41.95(12:25:32) followed by 42.22(12:29:40) and then back to 41.95

Or Find out from the person making the entry whether any manual rates were entered at the time of entry.

For the given date check the Logs if any are left. Most probably the logs are available only for 7 days.

Goto Utilities --> Change Logs Click on all boxes and execute.

Also Check whether Table Logging is activated in your System. If yes then Goto SCU3 and see the logs for able TCURR.

Thank You.
