The basic set of Forecasting Models available in ERP Forecasting was ported over to APO. However since then lot of changes has been done in APO Forecasting in terms of Models, Algorithms, Outlier Corrections methods etc.
Another feature would be MLR and Composite Forecasting available in APO apart from Time Series / Univariate Forecasting.
Technically the data store in APO vs ERP is also different. In APO TimeSeries data is stored in liveCache keyfigures against CVCs which is very different from ERP data model.
