Hi all,
I'm trying to install MAM 2.5 SR2 into a WebAS 6.40 + MI SP13. I'm following MAM Installation Guide, but I'm stuck at page 8, on the second paragraph, when it says:
"Deploy SAP Mobile Asset Management 2.5 on Mobile Infrastructure server 2.5 (minimum SP11)"
How do I do that? I can't find the procedure in the MI Installation Guide or MAM Configuration Guide. Is it through the WebConsole? Doesn't MAM have a part that runs on the server?
Regards,
Daniel Franulovic
Hi Daniel,
Thats exactly what it means. There is a war file provided with the CD you need to upload it to the Web Console and then download it again to your client. MAM does have role configuration but thats on the backend and not the MI Server. You will need to complete that before you receive any data besides the Userview Manager.

Hi Daniel!
I am not sure if you have completed the following steps. Before you deploy
(1) You should have a RFC Destination defined in SM59 in your MI Server to connect to your Backend System.
(2) Import/Upload the MAM 2.5 SR2 Components into the MI Server using transaction MEREP_MIG in the MI Middleware. While uploading the MAM Scenario Files you will use the RFC Destination you have created and this Step creates all the SyncBOs for MAM2.5, then enable and activate all the MAM SyncBOs via MEREP_PD.
(3)You may have to configure your Backend for the MAM Scenarios.
(4)After all these you can deploy the application.
I am not sure where exactly you missed.
Thx
Gisk

Hi,
I have created a userid in the Backend with the same name as the MAM user. Is that enough for the MAM to recognize the user that should receive each order or is there any other way to link the frontend with the backend users?
I have configured the Scenarios and User Dependant Data in the backend with the help of the functional guys here, but when synchronizing I can only see the User View Manager.
Thanks,
Daniel
Hi Daniel:
Since the question was marked as answered, i am not sure if you might need the answer, but the post came just now.
Ok.We know that the MI Client UserID and the User ID you assign the MAM 2.5 SR2 Application in the MI WebConsole should be the same. This User id should be same as the one specified when you configure the User Dependant Data in the backend. Also double check and make sure the Variant assigned to the MAM Scenarios you are looking at has the correct values and also verify the variants for Func.Location & Equipment under general settings.
After you have completed the customizing, make sure you have executed the SyncBos MAM25_090 & MAM25_095 via transaction MEREP_EX_REPLIC to replicate the customizing data.
Let me know.
Thx
Gisk
I'm sorry, I guess I should have opened another topic, as the question follows from that first one but is a different one.
Anyway, as we are already here:
I have double-checked the customizing, and I have executed the SyncBos, but there was an error returned when executing MAM25_095 SyncBo:
"E_MEREP_01 185 : Entry lc_alm_me_c030prf does not exist - check your entry"
Do you know what is it?
Thanks again,
Daniel
Hi Daniel:
Pl make sure the variants you have assigned for Function Location is available for the Report "RIIFLO20" (Tcode IH06) and also the variant you have assigned for the Equipment is available for the report "RIEQUI20" (TCODE IH08).
Also make sure a corresponding entry exists in table "ALM_ME_C030PRF-Selection Settings for Master Data" in the ABAP Dictionary.
Note: All these checks are made in the backend.
Thx
Gisk

Hi Daniel!
When you execute MEREP_EX_REPLIC with MAM25_090 & MAM25_095, you must have noticed the result that displayed a list with number of records sent to the mobile device.
If Yes, Pl execute transaction MEREP_MON for your Mobile ID and this will get you to the WorkList Monitor and you can see for each SyncBO Id what data has been sent. You should not have "0' for I-Waiting and I-finished must have some numbers not "0" and similary there should be some numbers under O-Sent.If not look at O-Waiting.
I would suggest that you try to Synchronize 2-3 times just to make sure by giving ample time between each Sync.
Also refer the answer to the question "Is there a way to view all the data that has been downloaded to the client?" available under Mobile Applicaions FAQs secion of the SDN.

Hi Gisk,
In MEREP_MON, I can see some errors for 2 SyncBOs: MAM_25_001 and MAM_25_010 have 5 under I-Error and 0 under I-Finished. All other ones have 5 under I-Finished and 0 under I-Error.
All of them, including these 2, have 4 under I-Waiting and some other numbers under 0-Sent and 0-Waiting and I also noticed that from some time only the I-Waiting numbers are raising, not the I-Error or the I-Finished.
Do you want me to open another thread?
Thanks for all the help,
Daniel
