Help Netweaver Studio Connectivity

Hi All,

Does SAP IDES 4.7 comes with SAP WAS ? If so, how to connect WAS through Netweaver studio?

I have installed Netweaver studio, do I need to install SAP J2ee Engine (WAS) ? or can i use the one which is packed along with SAP IDES 4.7 ?

Hi rama,

As per my understanding first you need to install WAS, then you can install any component on that.

IDES 4.7 is not neccessarly comes with WAS, it all depends on what you buy.

When i execute the T.Code : SMICM, I could see Adminstration ->J2ee Server -> stop and restart options.

I could even see a http service running at 8010, but when i tried accessing http://localhost:8010 it is asking for SAP Web Application Server user crenditials. What is the default user credentials ? This make sence that WAS is intalled.
