Possibility of Adding Extension field on Standard UI screen of Display type as Drop Down List Box

Hi Everyone,

I want to clarify from the experts about " how to add an extension field to the standard UI screen of Display Type as Drop Down List Box ". Can any one help me out on achieving this or what is the possibility of doing this.

Business Need:

I want a external field to be added on the standard UI screen and the field should give me a drop down with two drop down options, from where I have to select any one of the Options from drop down. How to Declare that field in the BO extension and how to make it as a Drop Down List Box and how to add this through Extensibility Explorer? Normally i know how to add a normal Text field through Extensibility Explorer but now i had a requirement of doing as above mentioned.

Kindly can any one help me out on this req.....

Hi,

Create a codelist datatype with the options(which you want in your dropdown), and asign that datatype for your field in the extension BO. Then try to add that Extended field in the standard screen using Extensibility Explorer.
