Opening Stock - Closing Stock = ?

Hello Gurus,

Can some one explain me in detail... Ur help is appreciated in advance

1.) What is opening stock minus Closing stock?? Does it mean anything or do we get any value?

2.) How do we upload the stock from legacy to SAP, i mean to ask is how do we calculate and upload all the stock that is in various stages

like some in

Raw material, Stock in process, semi finished and Finished Goods etc

Ans.    Closing Stock (Quantity as well as in Amount) of 31 July 2013 is Opening stock of 1 Auguest 2013

Opening Stock of 1 Auguest 2013 - Closing Stock of 1 Auguest 2013 = Receipt Stock of of 1 Auguest 2013 - Issue Stock of 1 Auguest 2013

Opening stock minus closing stock you will get the present stock of material .

For second question LSMW is the best way to upload

Hi Vasudev,

Opening Stock = Before go-live you have stock of raw material, semi-finish, finish on the shop floor or warehouse.

Closing stock = opening stock + receipt - issue at the month end.

In various stage you have to upload by initial stock upload (MB1C- 561 mvt) , later on it will be restricted.

For semi-finish you upload material in between operation by roll-forward and roll-backward method.

If any issue please revert back.

Opening stock = before go-live need to show opening value of stock [ value as well quantity ] ask the implementer data tempalte 

Closing stock = [ opening stock + receipt – issue ]  [both value as well quantity]

Now based on the implementer  data template u need to fill the data,

How to upload : LSMW is the best method, however the implementer decided the mode of transfer. 

Using material category code the items are identified that the item is finish code or semi or WIP [which is exist in data template]

i)With the help of opening stock and closing stock do we get any value? If we get what is it?

ii)Do we need something to get the value. If we need something what is it?
