Control Over goods receipt using 'BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE'

Hi All,

Please do let me know how can we stop Over goods receipt for a Purchase order using 'BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE'.

When I enter the Same PO in MIGO, I get an error message ' Document does not contain any selectable items'

But for the same PO if I do GR using 'BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE' it does GR successfully doing over goods receipt.

I have read in previous blogs for the settings. But the settings are correct and it should not do Over goods recipt.

Please let me know how can we control this using the BAPI. As per my undersatnding the BAPI should trigger an error.

Thanks

Rajender

"Document does not contain any selectable items" is a message caused by a user setting only.

this is based on the personal settings made in MIGO from menu Settings > default values.

if you mark the box in front of "Propose all items" then you can even post in MIGO.

What is the specific situation in this PO? What was ordered, how much was received before you posted a receipt with the BAPI? Was there a delivery complete indicator before you posted a receipt with the BAPI?

      Hi,

      Thanks for the reply.

I am passing the document and posting date.

I completely agree with you we have a option in MIGO to do GR even if the quantity is fully received.

Below are the details of the PO with ASN.

      Purchase Quanity Ordered - 2500

      AB quanity - 2500

      LB quantity - 1000

      Details from EKKO

      1. BSTYP - F - Purchase Order

      2. STATU - 9 - Enjoy Purchase Order

      3. PROCSTAT - 02 - Active

      Details from EKPO

      1. PSTYP - 0 - Standard

      2. BSTYP - F - Purchase Order

      3. BSTAE - 1006 - EDI Ack/ASN-GR

      4. ELIKZ - BLANK - "Delivery Completed" Indicator

But if the setting is switched off "Propose All Items". We get the error

'Document XXXXX does not contain any selectable items'

But if do the same thing using BAPI it does GR.

What my assumption is, if we pass quantity more 1000 the BAPI should trigger error.

I think so BAPI looks at the PO ordered quantity and not the LB quanity.

Please let me know your inputs.

      Thanks.

    Hi,

One thing is you have tocheck "EKPO-ELIKZ EQ 'X'" and pass in BAPi if you can . Since as value "X" in this field states no receipt is allowed.

Also if you want easy solution then in configuration you can change status of message

M7 022 PU Ordered quantity exceeded -- and set it is error .

    Hi Rajender,

May be I am replying too late for this question.

To control this over-GR problem, I have decided to code the same logic that MIGO follows.

Note 356665 clearly explains that the

Here, take into account that the BAPI does not execute the same checks as Transaction MB0A/MIGO.

Module SD_DELIVERY_ITEMS_RECEIVE is used for these transactions in order to check whether you can post for the outbound delivery. If this is not possible, the system generates error message M7 865:These checks are not executed in the BAPI.

So I think its better to code the same "SD_DELIVERY_ITEMS_RECEIVE" to make both MIGO and BAPI to behave in the same way.
