Succession Planning Scenario

Dear All,

In Succession planning , as per the Client BBP , I am following the evaluation path FN->JF->C->S .

JF-> C->S , this is already maintained in OM configuration, while doing succession planning, If I am maintaining the FN->JF relationship with the help of PP01 then its delimit the old record in if job family of earlier and current one is same.

My client has same job family lets say DIRECTOR, MANAGER for more than one functional area.

How do I maintain this relationship without delimiting the previous one ?

Please give your input for same.

Hi Ritu,

A Job Family can only be assigned to one Functional Area.

Hi Luke,

I agree with your input... but what would be possible solution if I have to add same sort of job family to various functional area... for succession planning...

Hi Ritu,

The answer is clever design of your Job Architecture structure. This is a challenge I have had with other customers, so it's a matter of assigning the JF to the most suitable Functional Area and assuming some additional manual effort for assignment of Competencies.
