Target Special GL Indicator Field in T-Code : FBKP

Dear Friends,

I need to know what is the exact use of TARGET SPECIAL GL INDICATOR field under Properties Tab found when we create any Special Gl Indicator Key?

As per my understanding, It is used for Noted Items Special GL Transactions (i-e Payment Requests etc). Its use is to define target special gl indicator from which the payment can be made against request.

Please correct me if i am wrong and give me some more valuable guidance on this.

Hi,

Target Special GL indicator is generally used at the time of creation of special GL indicator for down payment request(Noted Item).

While creating down payment request special GL indicator you give target special GL indicator for downpayments. You can give one or more than one target special GL indicator.

While posting down payment request, you give target special GL indicator so the system post the entry with down payment request special GL indicator.

Then while posting down payment you can select down payment request and the system displays the entries with down payment request and then you can post the entry required.

Target special GL is only relevant for noted item as you know.

In target sp. GL ind. Field, you can set special GL indicators, which are relates to the noted item for further processing.

For example: Noted item indicator for down payment request is “F”

The down payment request (noted item) can be used for:

      Down payment on current asset (Sp GL ind “A”

      Down payment on intangible asset (Sp GL ind “I”

      Down payment on tangible asset (Sp GL ind “M”

So target sp GL ind field can be filed with “AIM”

That means special GL indicator ( noted item) “F” can be further process by using  special GL indicator (down payments) either “A, I, M”
