no lmdb and sm_crm transaction on SSM

Hi experts,

My company recently purchased a training system for me on idesaccess.com with Solution Manager linked to an ECC server.

I tried to access transaction lmdb and sm_crm to no avail : they do not exist on the server.

My question is : is that normal ?

I am supposed to configure and customize workflows in ChaRM but I'm not sure I will be able to accomplish this without accessing

I tried to find which SP they were running, but the ST component is empty so I have no way to know...

Additional question : since when  lmdb and sm_crm are available on Solution Manager 7.1 ?  I tried searching the forums but couldn't find an answer. My hypothesis is that they are running an old version of SSM 7.1 at a time when these transactions didn't exist.

Thanks in advance.

I found the answer to my own question.

The Solution Manager Server I have access to has no SP installed at all. This means sm_crm did not exist at that time. The old version of ChaRM was still in use : I had to access it through DSWP.

This means the server does not fit my needs for training with the new version of ChaRM.

While I understand it was my mistake for not noticing that no SP was installed when we ordered the server, I would like to say that idesaccess.com has horrible customer service as they were completely unable to provide me with that answer. The only thing they did was blame me for being ignorant but they were as well!

Thanks to everyone who tried to help me through this.

Regards.

Hi Marc,

For system infomration, there are so many ways to get. Easiest is to use system-status tab option, and SAINT etc.

For checking tcodes - use SM01 to find out one exists or not in your system.

And for solman stuff, check solution manager wiki page

http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/SMSETUP/Home

All your questions have an answer on this page.

Hello Marc,

Check that link that have more information about LMDB

http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-29495

And here you will find information about solman_setup proces, that is the first that you have to setup in a solution manager system, do you finish that ?

Can you pull up the work centers?  Root Cause Analysis will report component service packs levels.

Or another option is to go into snote and review which central SP note is applied.

Or you could review the market place the information is updated there.

Or if you have a BI expert, they could review information within the various cubes.

Lots of various ways, but more information might needed on what access you have to the SolMan.

Hi team,

Maybe I wasn't clear enough, I found the information but it is empty.

Here is a screenshot from the system properties :

I also checked the Central note that was applied by going into sm_workcenter -> System preparation -> 3. Implement SAP Note. The note applied is N° 1373101.

I have used transaction code SE16 to look at table TSTC and searched both LMDB and SM_CRM. They are not available on the server.

I would like to point out that this is not my system, and I am forbidden by the terms of service to do any modification that could disrupt the performance of the system. I have SAP_ALL rights and a lot more, so if the transaction existed on the server I should be able to see it.

Thank you for your time and helpful answers.

I don't have note # 1373101 in my system and it was installed at the SP04 ST level.  By the looks of this, you are on SP00, and with your installation number being "INITIAL" I would find that concerning also!

A quick test to verify that you are at least below SP05 for ST, go to tx SMSY and attempt to go into edit mode under the landscape components.  If you don't get a pop-up and redirected to LMDB, then you are below SP05.

Is it possible to do a MOpz transaction for this SolMan system?  If not you can get a stack file along with the SAR/SCA files on the market, and would be the easiest way to get the system up to at least SP05 (imo go to SP08 as you will have far more success with things working well).
