Counting repairs on instruments

Hi

We are using serial numbers for our products.

This product can come for repair from customer. We want to count how many times it has been repaired in past before starting repair activity.

This can be done by finding serial number history. Is there is any report which will give history by putting serial number / material or equipment.

I dont want to follow IE03 / IQ03.
