Windows server 2008 and 2003 compatibility issues.

Hi experts,

     We are in the process of upgrading our OS server to windows server 2008 R2 from Windows server 2003. My main concern is that our app servers are using windows server 2003 as well and will not be upgraded to Windows server 2008, Will there be any compatibility issues with this?

Hi Rosendo,

As both the database and APP servers will be on Windows, there should not be any issue.

Hi Rosendo,

As pointed out by Deepak and Vimal, you will not have a problem. we did as a proof ran CI +DB on windows and app servers on AIX and it works fine

Hi,

There won't be any issues. Please make sure that kernel level is same in both the nodes.
