FIFO check

Dear All,

In our system our previous consultants have activated FIFO for GI, whenever i try to post the GI system is proposing batches accordingly to their batch creation date.

In material master classfication view is not extended eventhough system is thriwing the batch with FIFO

1. Where the settings has been made, where should i check ?

2. If 2 batches are created on the same date system for one time proposing batch1(creation date 1.1.13) next time other batch batch2((creation date 1.1.13))  eventhough batch1 qty is not over

Could be that your batch search strategy does not allow an batch split, hence all requested quantity must be taken from just one batch

Check strategy types and sort rules configuration

Paths are as follows

SPRO>> LO general>> Batch management> define sort rules

where you can define sorting rules based on batch creation date characterstics

these sorting rules are used in strategy types

SPRO>> LO general>> Batch management>strategy types>>define IM strategy types or others

where in sorting filed sorting rules can be used.
