Is there a standard way to enable users to reset their password on login screen in SAP CRM?

Hi experts,

we are using CRM 7.0 EhP1 and have the following requirement:

The user wants to logon to the CRM system (WebUI) but forgot the password.

The logon screen should be enhanced by a service to reset the password. Eg. there is already a link where the user can change the password. One possibility could be to add a second link 'Reset Password'.

Clicking on the link should open a popup where the user enters

User ID
Name
Mail-Address

Clicking a button calls the backend to validate the user data. If the user data is ok a new password is created and sent to the users mail adress.

Questions:

Is a standard solution available to fulfil this requirement?

If not: How can the logon screen be extended? Does anybody know the component name? When I press F2 nothing happens.
