Quantity getting confirmed in Sales ORDER without any stock

here is no stock for a material in MMBE. schedule line is CP (standard). Still in the sales order it is confirming the quantity on requested delivery date.

in material master:

MRP type: ND

In house production: NA

Planned delv.time: NA

Total repl. lead time: NA

I want system to confirm "0" qty, if there is no stock in MMBE. Detail screen shot attached below.

Please guide how to attain this

Purnendu

Dear Mohanty,

Just mark the field "check without RLT" in transaction OVZ9.

Your problem will get solved.

Thanks,

Hi Tarpan,

I have small doubt does it enough just by checking "check with out RLT in OVZ9 or also need to change the MRP type from ND to something else ex. PD ? because in Mohanthy case the MRP type is ND.

As per my knowledge i dont think so it is possible just by marking "checking with out RLT" in OVZ9 with out changing MRP type from ND to other like PD etc.

If the MRP type is ND, availbiltiy check itself does not perform direclty it confirms the qty .even though MMBE is '0' qty.

Hi Mohanthy,

Have you also changed the MRP type from ND to other like PD or just by marking Check without RLT the problem was resolved?

Please confirm.

Thanks,

Srinu.

Srinu,

ATP is not directly related to MRP type.  MRP type has to do with planning, and only peripherally with ATP.  These are two separate bits of functionality.

In a few cases, ATP can be influenced by MRP type, since MRP type can be important in determining transfer of requirements (OVZI) and ATP does rely on the existence of requirements in order to perform checking.  Normally, however, under most combinations of SAP configuration settings, it is not necessary to change from ND to PD to use ATP; neither with/without lead time.

Dear Trapan

even this question is answered i will ask one thing

In OVZ9  check with out rlt time it should be blank only bz if we activate ex customer need the stock on 15th but  on 11th stock is available so system wont wait for 15th on 11th only confirms the stock

if we activated this check box.

But i dont know why you are asking to op To activate this ...plz let me know

And check in OVZI and OVZK may be availability check is maintained at delivery level ?

Here op all ready maintained ND it means no MRP so he will maintain PD

Thanks a lot

Hi,

in material creation MRP tab level u take as ND. its mean no planing for material manufacture so system understand material available for delivery. try to change MRP TYPE.

mostly we can use ND for service material.

then see the result

Purnendu,

If you are working on a test system (sand box, IDES), then this level of analysis and this solution (activate field Check without RLT) is ok!

But if this isssue is faced in real-time, I would think of the implications of activating this field for a combination of 02 Individual requirements & A (SD orders).

For all material in your system that have availability check (checking group) = 02,  orders shall not be confirmed after the RLT period.

I suggest you check, the business logic across materials before going to change configuration at this level.

Side comment - Thanks for pasting so many screenshots. It makes understanding and reading a pleasure

Pumendu,

Expert Tarpan has given you the correct answer.  Your scope of check shows that you are checking availability based upon lead time.  Your lead time in your material master is '0' (planned delivery time).  So, SD believes all orders can be confirmed at '0' days lead time, or 'today'.

Alternatively, you can insert a logical value in 'Planned Delivery time'.

Hi,

Please check your material type - "ND" - This will have your confirmed quantity irrespective of your stok position.  May be try with "PD".

hi

In Availability control, Check without RLT, so that system will not consider safety stock, stock in transfer etc, but you will have error saying confirm quantity,

For this go to - MM02 -- SALES ORG 1 - there you will see min ordered qty .. update this as "0", so that the system will give you 0 as ordered quantity

Hi Purnendu,

you have maintained 02 in availability check in material master so in availability check control : overview just check ' no check' box for 02 then it should be ok

and ensure to remove pick / pack time ,loading time, replenishment lead time, transportation lead time  days if mentioned any.

Hi,

Remove the checks in availability control include safety stock, stock in transfer, incl.qualityinsp stock, and include dependent requirements from inward/outward movements and check it once. i am not sure that was the case but check it once from ur side.
