0GL_ACCOUNT_T011_HIER Extraction

Hi Experts,

We use BI 7.0 SP25

I am not expertise in SAP BI and recently,  we need to extract the "0GL_ACCOUNT_T011_HIER" hierarchy from R3 to BI.  I have enabled hierarchy in R3 and replicated the same in BI.

Now when i try to load the data, the data source is not active and when i try to active the it says, Transfer rules also need to active, when i select Transfer rules, i don't see Activation button enable.

Can someone guide me how to enable this data source and load data to BI PSA or data target. When i try to edit for activation,i get below screen and i select Yes.

Hi,

Activate transfer rules for the hierarchy, do not forget to mark 'iDoc' option.

Create Infopackage ---> click on    under hierarchy selection tab ---> select the radio button on which hierarchy to be selected and save infopackage.

Then Click on Start under Schedule tab.

Hi All,

I am activated and loaded the hierarchy as per the Functional consultant gave me the Financial statement FSV.

But ! when loading data, it throws error as per the below screenshot and when i ask Functional consultant, he says everything is fine from his end when he runs the R3 report.

Any hints please.

Hi Suresh,

When your loading hierarchy from R/3 to Bw side. have you maintained same hier str at info object level?

if you maintained then check,check your hier str, seems like duplicate nodes added to  leafs.

at RSA1, info provider --> 0GL_ACCOUNT, display mode, hierarchy tab, click on maintain hierarchy, you will see created hier str name, click on it, it will display the hier str, check the mentioned nodes how you designed. even you can check at ecc side and bw side, same need to same at ecc and bw.

you can use t code - RSH1(at bw side).

I don't have hierarchy in infoObject level, this is the first time loading. I went to maintain hierarchies and there is nothing.

Hi suresh,

You need to maintain str at info object level and then only try to load.its common procedure.

Take ecc team help and build nodes and leafs at info object level.

Can you elaborate regarding this STR, i am not aware of hierarchy loading and it is first time working on hierarchies.

Hi Suresh,

Pls take  fi/source team who knows about ecc hierarchy structure on GL Account. like that way same strcure you need to create at bw side, info object level.

Above is my hierarchy, with help of FI/source team i created at bw side.

All folders we can create by adding text nodes.

info object can be added by add info object.

info object always need to added at last level only.

at ECC side you can refer t codes - GRR2 and KDH2. Finance team help is mandatory.

Start creating structure at bw side.

Hi Ramanjaneyulu,

You mean to say that we have to create hierarchy manually and maintain them in RSH1.

my doubt is , if we are creating everything manually, then what is the point of loading the heirarchy from R3 system. 

How is the use of  " 0GL_ACCOUNT_T011_HEIR" datasource?  Kindly give me if you have documents for the same.

Hi Suresh,

You are creating just structure. thru loads we pass data to hier structure. This structure will be useful at bex level when user needs to see data as per thier needs.

If you don't build hier str at bw side, then loaded data where it stores.

if have any other hier data source was build on your server, recheck them how they maintained all. you will get idea.

sorry from my side, no docs with me. its simple one. thru RSH1, add text nodes and add info object at last level as per the ecc side.

other wise you can check with your team mates who already worked on. it will be helpful.

Hi Ramanjaneyulu,

With the help of my FI guy, i have created the structure ( nodes ), now what about the GL Account series ( interval ), when i load the data, will it come and sit directly on the designated nodes  or i have enter the GL Acount no also in the specified nodes as per R3 ?

Under each text nodes you need to maintain assing gl accounts(info objects) with help of source.

Hi

As long as you use IDoc as transfer method you don't need a transferstructur hence it cannot get activated. If you switch to PSA with will bring you transferstructure.

What are the next steps for this Data source usage.  Since the Datasource is not activated, how to use this.

Do anyone have document for hierarchy extraction, i am not much aware of hierarchies in BI.
