Transaction data values doubled in file upload

Hi,

I have
encountered following issue:

Sometimes
when I upload transactional data file to BPC via UJFS command "Upload document for
DM" and run data manager import transaction data package, I have noticed
that values in the BPC cube have doubled, even though data in the file has not
changed (before upload I have emptied BPC cube). Only way which I have found to
correct this is to rename the data file and upload it with different name. After
that data has been ok in the cube (no changes in the content of the flat file
has been done).

So it
seems that sometimes system does not empty the table where content of the data file
is loaded in the upload file stage (or from other reason it does not segregate
two different upload for the same file name).

Is this
a known issue and what is the name of the table where file is uploaded in BW?

Hi Tommi,

Use DSO instead of cube.

it is the best practice to load the transaction data from file upload.

Hi,

I don't know what you mean? I only upload file with UJFS transaction and it automatically loads data to BW. (Uploads the file and appends the data to some BW table, I don't know what is the table called). After that I start data manager package from EPM addin. I could do the upload also from the EPM interface, but that is very slow.

Hi Tommi,

Are you not using excel interface to upload the file to the server?

In any case, which package are you running to load the data and in what mode (merge or replace)?

Kalyan.

Hi,

No, I’m using UJFS transaction from BW side.

I’m running package IMPORT_APPEND with merge mode. I
don’t know how package or mode affects this, because cube is empty when I run
the package.
