Hi,

I know openldap is not supported in SAP BO> But I tried to configure the "Custom" Settings in the "CMC" >> "Authentication">>"LDAP".

In the image I have shown the values i put in "attribute mapping section". I finished the configuration and i clicked "Update" . Then I checked my users " none of the user from the openldap server are there . So anyway , whan i tried to log into the CMC using the LDAP authentication with one user credential, I get the following error

"Account Information Not Recognized: Logon failed. Please make sure you are a member of a valid mapped group. (FWB 00029)"

here is the log entry from the open ldap server ("slapd.log file")

Jul 30 16:21:41 mpdev1 slapd[11428]: conn=436 op=2 SRCH base="uid=301,ou=people,dc=isi,dc=myportal,dc=usc,dc=edu" scope=0 deref=0 filter="(objectClass=*)"

Jul 30 16:21:41 mpdev1 slapd[11428]: conn=436 op=2 SRCH attr=uid cn objectclass

Jul 30 16:21:41 mpdev1 slapd[11428]: conn=436 op=2 SEARCH RESULT tag=101 err=0 nentries=1 text=

It shows no error and one entry found.

Any suggestions, what I am missing ?

Thanks

there's always been problems connecting to the openldap directories. You can collect CMS logs and full tracing from the openldap directory, generally we've found in the past it is the way we send queries and the way openldap interprets them.
