Hello

The priority is to the settings defined on the material master. MRP group settings are only considered if they are empty on the material master.

Hello

The following information is provided on question 2 of FAQ note 772856:

2.  Question:

Which consumption parameters (Consumption mode/consumption period)

    are taken into account?

    Answer:

The parameters maintained in the material master (material

requirements planning view 3) have the highest priority. If you do

not specify a consumption mode, the system uses the consumption

parameters from the MRP group that is assigned to the material. If a

consumption mode is not specified there, the consumption mode is set

to '1' by default (backward consumption only) with a (backward)

consumption period of 999 days. This means that the consumption

cannot be deactivated because the consumption parameters have not

been maintained. The consumption periods are calculated in workdays.
