Hello Abhilash,

yes you can change the recording in existing LSMW but then you are changing recording because of adding some fields or deleting some.

In case of addition you need to add the field in source structure and do the mapping

In case of deleting the fields you need to remove the field from source structure and remove the mapping

Hi Abilash,

We can make changes to the LSMW recording.

There are two ways by which you can do changes to the LSMW recording.

1.Go to SHDB  transaction where you can change the recording in LSMW

'Maintain Object Attributes' then press the rightside pushbutton of the Recording then change the recording and save it.

2.In LSMW execute through F8,Then execute the  Maintain Object attributes, then give your Recording Name and click Recordings Overview Button. It will list the recording under that LSMW Project, then Choose your recording place cursor ion your rec name and in the menu choose

Recordings->Edit Recording and change the recording

Thanks,

Dinesh.

Hi Abilash,

               we can change the recording in existing LSMW if your object type is 'Batch Input Recording';

you can change it in 'Maintain Object Attributes', edit the Recording, use button 'add screen field' or 'delete screen field'.

Hi Abilash, we can make changes in the existing recording.

Options are there to add or remove screen fields.

Hope that was your question.

Thanks for replies.

Current situation is that there is already a LSMW with recording exists for a particular customer group. Now end user wants to use this same recording for new customer group. The new customer group has 1 extra screen and 2 extra fields. Can i include this new screen and new fields by if condition on customer group. So that those new screen and new fields will not be called for old customer group and while uploading for new customer group the recording should involve that new screen and new fields. If possible please paste the sample code.

I don't believe it's feasible and, even if it was, I wouldn't recommend it. Just create a new recording and new LSMW, it doesn't take that much time.

As a side note - in 90% cases it's faster to actually try something in a test/Sandbox system than askling "is it possible" on SCN. Just a suggestion.

You can change it but depending on the changes you want to make it may be more efficient to redo the recording. Precision is everything and you need to be 100% correct regarding the screen names the field names and the ok codes.

Just add one more recording with additional screen/fields and condition it on the customer group.

You can change it in 'Maintain Object Attributes', Goto Recording, use button Repeat Recording and record as per changes required.
