Hi,
I would like to know the possibilities/Risks of Upgrading from existing Intenational payroll RPCACLX0 driver system (i.e. 99 country version) to Saudi Arabia specific payroll driver (i.e. 24 country version).
We are already using in Intenational payroll RPCACLX0 for processing payroll and now SAP has realesed the Saudi Arabia specific country version 24 would like to know the process we need adapt to upgrade from 99 country version to country vesrion 24.
Best Regards,
Vivekananda.
Hi Vivekananda,
Just adding one point:
I've worked with several countries based on 99. At the time SAP or partners provided a country solution, this new solution usually was less mature in terms of scope (as relavant for the individual customer) and stability than the custom solution.
Therefore, I would usually wait a few years before migrating, IF your current solution is working well.
Large legal changes comming up would be an argument for changing earlier, as you can invest the time you would otherwise need to update your custom solution into the new standard solution
Kind regards
Sven

Dear Vivekanand,
Country specific version of 24 is released for saudi arabia from EHP5. If you have a system with earlier version under 99 MOLGA grouping. This can be considered as re implementation rather than upgrade.
The complete configuration should be done under 24 MOLGA again with additional functionalities provided for KSA such as Hijri Calender, GOSI and EOSB. The changes are mainly in Personnel administration and payroll modules. The grouping in time management will change based on new Molga mapping and dependent grouping.
There shall be migration challenges for existing personnel to new MOLGA. The below link contains country specific tables for configuration as a quick help

Hi Vivekananda,
A change of Molga over time is usually not allowed in SAP - neither for a Pernr nor a personnel area. Therefore, you need to change master data in the past pretending it's always been 24.
No retro-calculation into pre-migration periods.
As the first comment says: it's almost like migrating from a different kegacy system with respect to payroll
Kind regards
Sven
