IDT Universe on ECC Infosets - Error

Former Member

Hi All

I am trying to create an universe on IDT BO 4.0 SP 4 directly from ECC Infosets. I can see that the some of the infosets have repeated field names in them. As such I am not able to proceed further and mapping of multiple infosets results in longer query run time in preview and in web-i.

Is there any solution to move forward or is there any ways to edit the repeating field names in the infosets ?

Kindly help

Hi,

did you create the Universe manually or did you leverage the generated option ?

Hi Ingo Hilgefort

I was unable to detect the joins and cardinality automatically and I mapped them manually for the infosets that I selected.

Hi,

when you create the Universe manually then you need to ensure that the aliases are correct as well.

if you try to join multiple INfoSets in the Universe you should consider creating a single Universe in the ECC system that contains all the data instead of joining multiple InfoSets in the Universe

Are you able to run the query inside ECC using SQ01?  Are you getting the right results when you run it in SQ01 natively inside SAP?

Hi Tammy

Thank you for the reply.

No I am not able to run the query in ECC using SQ01. It says 'No data was selected' on executing.

Arun - if you are not getting any data on the back end of ECC, please help me understand why you are creating an ECC universe, when it appears (based on what you are saying) that there isn't anything to report.

Thank You.
