Hi all,

We want to pass two variables from DS3 to D05 and get back the sum of those two variables back to DS3.

We are not able to create RFC Destination in  D05 in T-Code SM59.

What is D05 and Ds3  systems exactly and explain the procedure  how it is useful with RFC .????

Hi Praveen,

D05 – System where RFC function module exists

DS3 – Calling system from where an RFC call is made from this system to D05

The RFC interface system enables function calls between two SAP systems, or between a SAP system and an external system.

RFC is the proprietary  interface for communication between a SAP System and other SAP or third-party compatible system over TCP/P  connections. Remote function calls may be associated with SAP software and ABAP programming and provide a way for an external program to use data returned from the server. Data transactions are not limited to getting data from the server, but can insert data into server records as well. SAP can act as the Client or Server in an RFC call.

For more help you can refer to the following link : http://saptechnical.com/Tutorials/ABAP/RFCCall/Page1.htm

Thanks.

Ankita.

Praveen,

i would recommend you post your Question in the "Enterprise Information Management" Forum. I`m guessing that with "DS3" you mean "SAP BusinessObjects Data Services XI 3.x"?!

This Forum covers only topics around the BI Platform Products such as SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise and SAP Business Intelligence Platform.

You can find the Forum here:
