Hello All,
Please guide with the required steps to connect a Solution Manager with the SAP ECC 6.0 instance.
Thanks in advnace.

Hi Amit
1. Connect your ECC system into Central SLD.
Logon to ECC system RZ70 -> Gateway Host(Fully qualified Domain name of solution manager)
and Gateway Service - sapgw00 -> Press (F5) to start the SLD data collection.
SLD will collect data and provide to LMDB and your system will be available in Solution manager
-> LMDB -> Technical Systems
2. Create Product system in LMDB
Go to LMDB -> Product System -> Select your Product System Name -> Edit
Go to left side “Navigation Tree” and select Technical Systems
On the right side, Technical Systems -> Technical Systems of Product System -> Add
In the pop-up screen, Search the Product Instance “Select By: Proposal"
Then Go to the left side “Navigation Tree” and select Technical Systems ->
SID (Application server Java)->Software
On the right side, Software -> Product Instances->Assigned Product Instances
Put Tick mark” in the column “Installed” for the entire product Version displayed as SAP ECC 6.0
Then SAVE these changes in LMDB.
Now you can assign Logical component in SMSY for JAVA
3. SAP Host Agent installation – This is important if you configure Managed system configuration in Solution
manager

Hi Amit,
This RFC should be working fine.
Is the Gateway Host provided by you in RZ70, that your SLD hostname (Fully qualified domain name)
and a correct gateway cervice in your system ??
I have mentioned earlier is an example from my landscape and may be vary from yours.
Ideally ,
RZ70 -> Gateway Host(Fully qualified Domain name of SLD server)
and Gateway Service - (Your gateway service) -> Press (F5) to start the SLD data collection.
Regards, Praveen
Hi Amit,
The RFC should be working correctly to send complete system data via data supplier to SLD.
Have you manually created the SLD_UC RFC or was it existing already ?
Please check below SAP notes which will help you troubleshoot and resolve issue:
1727745 - RFC connection error while executing transaction RZ70
1057720 - Missing configuration for JCO/RFC destinations of the SLD

Nisha
Hi P KK,
There was a problem with RFC connection of the RFC destination "SAPSLDAPI" of the solution manager.
After changing its below paramter. It worked fine.
Gateway Host and Gateway Service.
After that SLD was updated and followed the rest of the process mentioned by you and
issue completed successfully.
Thanks and Regards,
Amit Bharti
