Hi,

Is there a way to assign the specific objects of the "setDataSelection" code to specific areas of a chart?

In my specific example, I have a bullit chart which is populated dynamically with different keyfigures based on user-selection. Unfortunately it puts the mesures in the wrong areas, so the chart looks bad.

Any ideas?

/Kris

Kris - I assume you are using the Infochart bullet chart?

Would the scorecard be a possibility, as shown in Karol's blog here: https://blogs.sap.com/2016/04/18/scorecard-step-by-step-to-nice-visualization-conditional-format/

Hi Tammy,

Yes, you are right.

I've just looked at the scorecard, and as far as I can tell, I am unable to assign data via setDataSelection or similar on the scorecard. That way I woun't be able to switch between the different keyfigures.

OK, my next suggestion is to look at extensions - for example, search this PDF for bullet charts: http://cdn.visualbi.com/wp-content/uploads/visualbi-extensions-for-sap-businessobjects-design-studio-vbx-user-guide.pdf

It appears that it will offer more properties on the bullet chart than standard SAP Design Studio does.

For other extensions, see SAP extension directory at https://analytics-extensions.enter.sap

That will be my last resort, I was hoping to do this with the standard components, but it looks like its impossible for now - unfortunately.

I'll post it as an idea on ideaplace, if noone comes up with a solution.

Thanks for your input Tammy.
