Effects after activating the Order Split Function.

Dear All,

We have a scenario where we need to do production order split in order to create different material from same order.

For this we need to activate the Order split function log-pp-prod-ord-split and log-pp-ord-split , but I am not sure about the changes / effect which will happen after activation of this function.

Can any one please throw some light on the changes that will happen on activation of the above function..

Kindly suggest.

Thanks & Regards

Hello Om,

The following restrictions for transactional flow will apply when you use split order:

1.The parent order and child order must both be settled to the same product cost collector

2.You cannot read PP master data for the orders in a split hierarchy

3.Orders in a collective order cannot be split

4.Orders of a split hierarchy cannot be supplemented with a subtree

5.The parent and child order must both have the same header material

6. Orders that are part of a split hierarchy can only be confirmed through operation confirmations – that is, confirmations for the document header are not supported. Operations in a parent order that lie before the split operation cannot automatically be confirmed through Milestone or Progress confirmation.Manual confirmations must be entered for these operations.

7.The batch where-used list is not updated during order split

As far as activation of function is concerned, you need to check in sandbox for your existing scenario.Check and Implement  relevant correction with ref to your system.Hope it helps
