I can't run my Hana studio anymore

Hi Folks,

I have a question for you.

I am finding hard time to run my Hana studio based on what you can see in the attached screenshot.

I unistalled and reinstalled the Java JRE  so many times but "nada" and I am thinking about uninstalling the software itself and install it back again.

My concern about this process is: will all documents or projects that I worked on in the hana system be affected or lost?

Please help.

Thank you!

Amédé

Hi,

All your created Objects in Modeler Perspective are directly saved in HANA Server.

All your Objects that you created in HANA Development Perspective and committed them are also saved in HANA Server.

These Objects are also stored in your Local Directory so no need to worry.

So once you uninstall and install HANA Studio again - you can check out and import all of your Projects from Repository.

Yeah Vivek,

This is what I noticed.

Thank you for your reply and I would like to inform you that I am able to retrieve my data now.

The problem is, the JRE that I installed was not compatible with the Hana studio version that I have.

Thanks again.

I'm just curious what version of JRE did you install that did not work?  Did you have to go back to JRE7?

Hi Patrick,

I installed the JRE 64-bit since the version of Hana studio that I have is 64 bit instead of 32 bit.

Hi Vivek,

Do you think that I am the one marking as answered?

I don't think so, maybe the administrator. Also I think this is something automatic.

I maybe wrong, but for me this is how it works.

Thank you !

Hi Kouakou,

The person who asks question has to mark one of the replies as Correct Answer.

In the replies to your question, you would be seeing two buttons - Green one to mark answer as correct and a yellow one to mark answer as helpful.

So either you can mark your own reply or any other person's reply as correct.

Alternatively you can mark this question as Assumed Answered(you get this option at top where its written:  "This question is Not Answered"
