Running total in cross tab problem

I am using Crystal 2008 and have put a running total into a cross tab. The Running total is reset OnFirstRecord and for each group in the cross tab. For the first entry in the cross tab that has records in the detail the cross tab running total differs from the final running total in the detail section. All others are correct. How can I sort outthe first entry?
