Error: Team provider could not be initialized

Hello all

For all my SAP HANA XS projects in SAP HANA Studio, I constantly get the error message "Team provider could not be initialized. Could not get repository metadata. An error occurred: Workspace already locked by other process (name: regi.exe, id: 4424).

In the context menu, the Team options "Commit", "Activate", ... are not visible any more, only "Apply Patch" and "Unshare Project".

Restart of SAP HANA Studio doesn't help. I didn't make any changes to my configuration. Is it a Server-side or Client-side error?

We use:

SAP HANA SPS 6

SAP HANA Studio Version 1.00.56

SAP HANA Client Version 1.00.60

Definitely client side since it says it is locked by process REGI. That's another executable which is part of the HANA Client which is called behind the scenes by HANA Studio. I would suggest closing your HANA Studio.  Then using the Windows task manager to kill any running REGI.exe processes you find. The problem could also be the mismatch you have in the Studio/Client versions.  You have a SPS5 version of the Studio and a SPS6 version of the HANA Client.  So your REGI version is newer than your Studio version.  Why not also update your Studio to SPS6/Rev 60 as well.
