Custom program not working in process chains

Hi All,

We have a custom program which loads data to a custom table from the file located in application server. When i execute the program manually in SE 38 , the table gets the data from file successfully. But when i use the same program with variant in process chain data is not loading into the table.

In fact the process chain overall status shows as "Green" but there is not data loaded. When i checked the Job log, it says " File could not be opened". But at the same time, data is loading successfully in when i execute manually.

Can someone let me know, if i miss anything in process chain/ how can i load it successfully via process chain
