Configure Plant as Branch

Hi,

We want do sales from branch and we want to do STO from Manufacturing Plant to Branch. Kindly suggest how to configure?

How to create one plant code defined as branch and to do configuration for STO.

Basically, client is opening up Showrooms and the stock will be transferred from Manufacturing Plant to Showrooms and then sold to end customers. The sales needs to be tracked showroom wise. Hence, I was suggested to create Showrooms as Plant which has to be defined as Branches. And to do STO configuration.

Kindly explain the process in detail so that I can achieve this scenario. Even I want to know the implications like in FI & CO and CIN.

Note- Manufacturing Plant is excise free.

Hi,

   Definition of plant is normal, there is no special things needs to be done in plant definition. You my define / copy from existing plant and create new plant. Only in excise configuration, you need to mark the new plant as "depot", in the path SPRO-Logistic Gen-Tax on goods movements-india-Basic settings- Maintain plant settings.

   After that you can configure STO in standard way. Now during STO from plant to plant with CIN, you need to follow J1IIN for excise invoice.

   Revert back in case of any doubts.

   Hope its helpful.

Hi;

you can define storage locations on plant after that you have to configure this st.loc for stock transfer order.

custumer for storage locations can help you clearly. For this reason , stock transfer order with doc type UB (647-101 mov types) can solve your problem.

But , you think on ceating plants for every showroom.

thansks.
