SAP Printer settings for footer space

Hi All,

We are facing one strange issue. Last weekend; we ahd monthly production release and hundreds of transports went to produciton ECC system. Since that day; all users are facing one issue that when they print invoices; the footer line is getting deducted. Though the same is appearing while seens in SAP; but in case of hard copy print out; the footer line gets cut. The same was working fien before relase. From basis perspective; we have checked printers and no recent changes found in 'Last chnaged by' portion. Also checked descriptions of the transports but no details found. Though this issue is not caused by basis. But we have been asked for RCA and the solution of the problem. There were hundreds of transports and hard to find if any of those caused that. We suspect there were some smart form changes which might have cuased issue. But we are not able to find that. Though its a strange issue; just sharing with all in case someone has come across any similar issue in past; can help.

This is one printer which supports special characters used in French and other non English languages. If any other printer is set for invoicec; then footer is completely printed. But all other printers do not support such special characters and show them as #

So we have to find and fix the issue of this one orinter only. In which the footer part is cut while taking hard copy print out. This was working earlier. Please advise how we can find how this got changed.

Hi varun,

Yes, I have seen this issue in the past as well. From that experience, I can recall that this was not a printer issue, but its a program/coding related issue- may be Smart Form

Our ABAP developer fixed the issue by making coding chages and I am not aware what exact chages he made.

But as an hint please contact with your ABAP consultants.

Thanks for your reply. But the ABAP team has confirmed that issue not caused by any of thier change and they checked everything. Though I am also almost sure its an ABAP issue but we need to find root cause and solution to the problem. We have checked every printer in detail; in SPAD and in last changed by; there are no changes in last 2 years.
