Hi SAP Expert ,

Pls suggest on below error :-

An error occurred while processing option <i>SAP Enhancement Package 1 for SAP NetWeaver 7.3 > Oracle > Additional SAP System Instances > Additional Application Server Instance( Last error reported by the step: System call failed. Error 1 (Operation not permitted) in execution of system call 'utime' with parameter (/sapmnt/SID/exe/uc/linuxx86_64/IGSEXE.SAR, utimbuf: actime = 1374577440 modtime = 1361193911), line (201) in file (syuxcnodti.cpp), stack trace: iaxxejsctl.cpp: 146: EJS_ControllerImpl::executeScript()

Hi Abhishek,

Please make sure

you start installation with root user and file system should be as per sap standard .

You can refer installation guide for more information.

If you still facing issue please provide us more log on installation.

Hi,

Hint: Checked the SAP NW Installation Guide  - states that /sapmnt/SID subdirectories should be mounted with root and root should have authorizations to create and remove files.


We consulted our UNIX admins and found out that /sapmnt/SID filesystem was not mounted with proper authorizations for root. Root was not able to write to /sapmnt/SID/ and directories underneath. UNIX admins unmounted and mounted the filesystem with proper authorizations for root then installation finished successfully.

What user you use for installation? Please use root user.

                    Can you please share the version details of your Sap system ,OS and DB and explain the exact scenario as to what you are trying to achieve.
