How to copy Update rules between two cubes

Hi Guru's and Friends,

Please let me know how we copy the existing update rules between cubes.

It is primarily for copying start and update routines.

Hi Krish,

If we use the Copy rule in an existing update rule selecting any of the fields of the cube it would create another field have the Data field name as <Old field name>_01. It is primarily for creating the same logic for another field.

HI,

Yes when you right click on cube to create update rules. The first sxcreen after that where you specify infosource there you have the option to copy tules.

Thanks Friends, I know that we have a option called Copy rule in Update rules, and regarding the templete If I give I am getting the all rules as expected , but Wats the use of Copy rule in the menu Bar.

Hi Krish,

I guess the only place where you can try to create the copy of update rules is using another cube/ODS as template in the first step of update rules creation.
