Hi Experts
We have a ZTABLE in R/3 for which we created Generic Datasource but we are unable to make that delta. we created a Datasource and saved but in RSA6 we couldnt see the delta update with tick.
Should there be any time stamp in the table? i am not sure. anykind of help is really appreciated. thanks

Hi Kanth,
Yes..You would not be able to do delta in that case. You can instead do a full load of an ODS using the ztable and then do a subsequent delta to another data target if that helps.
There is another method of creating delta using ALE pointers though I have not used it.

Hi Kanth,
Failed to add, You have to make the data source delta enabled in the RSO2 transaction.

Hi Dinesh
thanks for your prompt reply. Actually this ZTABLE was created by ABAP Consultants in Phase 1 of our project. We are implementing Bw in phase 2. They hve not put any time stamp nor cal day in that table..so as per reply we cannot do the delta there is no timestamp or cal day isit? thanks

Kanth
Hi Kanth,
Yes you would need a timestamp field or a calendar day field in the ztable to make it delta enabled.
