Is it possible to create folders inside the infoview's inbox?

Hello,

I would like to know if it is possible to create subfolders inside the users' inbox in Infoview.

If so, could you please let me know the options that we have to achieve this? This would apply to all users.

We are currently using Business Objects XI3.1.

Thanks in advance!

You can delete messages/Refresh your BOBJ inbox for new messages but you cannot create folders within BOBJ users Inbox.

Can you please share details of the requirement that's driving you to think on these lines, so that someone on forum can suggest any alternatives.

Thanks

Thank you all for your responses.

We are creating publications and sending the reports to the users' inboxes, however they wanted to have sub folders in their inboxes and to receive the reports there. We don't give them access to the Public folders, only Favorites and Inbox.

I told them it wasn't possible but I wanted to be completely sure, I'll tell them that they can copy the reports they want to their Favorites and create sub folders there.

Have a good day and regards!!

Hi Alvarez

The concept of Inbox is very simple in BO XI 3.1. BO Inbox acts as a common sharing folder which allows you to share you reports/output for one time/schedule basis.

In addition, you can move content from BO Inbox to your My Favourites or Other Public folders. As suggested by Malik, if you share details of the requirement that's driving you to think on these lines, then someone on forum can suggest any alternatives.

Hello Damaris,

Creating Sub folder under Inbox is not possible. In BO 3.x you are allowed to create reports in Inbox but not sub folders.
