PIR not getting Splitt in to no.of weeks by using MD67

Hello Experts,

Greetings.

I have entered monthly qty in PIR for July 2013 -1200 PCs.

I have maintained period split for automatic splitting in required customization, but I am not able to split 1200 qty into 12 weeks after running MD67.

When I split 1200 into equal share for 3 months .i.e

July-400

Aug-400

Sept-400

Then after running MD67 system gives correct results.

My requirement is we will enter planned qty in one month only then system has to take care of splitting it into equal qty for next 12 weeks.

I have user distribution function which is 5 equal portion per split.

Need an expert advise how we can carry out this function.

Rgds,

Yogesh Thorat.

Dear,

You can split in MD62 select the material  then goto-- edit and period splitting and select week.here you can go to the schedule lines tab and give the period "W" week to the monthly demand in the column period" , you will get the split quantity there itself and then save it.

To split into weekly , you can also execute MD67   , Enter - Plant, material

Period split - weekly

History tick = on

Create list = On

No data base change = on for first time see the result and if every think is okay then remove this tick and execute

You should have defined period split in OMPH as weekly  .

Thanks Rupesh for your helpful answer.....

I have set this in MD62 and works fine as expected but whenever we need to split monthly demand into equal weeks we need to modify the period of splitting here.

How we can overcome this because as I will upload the PIR monthly through LSMW and split( from/ to) period has to be changed everytime?

Could I have your expert advise for the same?

Dear,

Go to MD61 and click on user parameter (Press F5) here you can define period indicator as W- week. And first screen of MD61 you can also select the planning period in week-W.

Also as you are uploading demand by LSMW then why not input itself in week than month?

Hello

As explained on the documentation, automatic period split only happens when copying planned independent requirements using a reference (for example, the forecast, or SOP).

You should schedule a background job for program RM60ROLL (MD67) to split the PIRs created on MD62.

Check the following link for more details:

Hello Rupesh,

Thanks for your answer again.

User wants to enter monthly PIR only and want system to automatically split the demand into 12 weeks as per period split used in automatic splitting.

I am carrying out few more tests with LSMW file and try to adapt data with change that we talked about.

Why there is a need of MD67 if we can split in MD62 itself?
