Service specification not copying

Hi,

While creating a service PO thru ME21N or ME21 option document overview referring old PO. PO header data and some item data are getting copied.

But service specification maintained in old PO are not getting copied. Also PR No. and PR item number are not getting copied.

My requirement is create service PO referring old PO with above data. Please advice how to enable this option.

Dear Sudd,

1.) When you make a PO with reference to PR, RFQ, Contract, System will show the  referred document. Here the control of reference document will be enforced to subsequent document. But if you take Old PO as reference, all the refereed PO values will get copied except the referred PO number & line item. This is the standard behavior.

2.) Now you are taking reference as a old PO, not directly the referred PR, so you will not get any reference details of PR.

3.) When you refer a service line item PO, System should bring Service lines details also. At least it is working like that for me. Can you please elaborate what service details you are not able to get it

Thanks Amala for your reply. System behaving as you have replied.

If the old referred PO line item is deleted, then system not picking the service lines or specifications.

Is there any way we could change thru config or enhancements?

Hi,

ClickDocument overview on(F8)-->click  selection variant-->select purchase orders-->exicute-->select your old purchase order click Adopt now you got existed PO data.

Dear Suddy,

1.) Why do you want to copy the deleted line item ?. Standard SAP system will not allow to take deleted service lines as a reference.

2.) Instead copying deleted lines, take possible un deleted reference service lines from the below screen

Dear Amala

As part of C.Code merger activity, we have closed open POs in old company code for using the same PRs. New PO to be created in new company code. Since number are more and to avoid repetitive data entry, reference of old closed PO, we created new PO.

Is there any way we could change thru config or enhancements?

Dear Sudd Y

You have to un-delete the corresponding lines till you do copying and later again mark delete status for those PO If business accepts. SAP System is not allowing you to copy even only service lines if the corresponding PO line item is marked delete status.

If you have a strong abaper, you can try to break system control via code change:check the effort level before venturing into it
