Hi Experts,
Is it advisable to utilize IT0077 (Additional Personal Data) for employees belonging to Countries other than USA?
Regards,
Somdeb.
As mentioned by earlier contributors - in the SAP standard the currently delivered infotype 0077 is intended for use only with certain countries - for example the UK and US
Additionally though you can create any infotype for any country using transaction PM01 and in this way create your own version of infotype 0077 to hold Additional Personal Data for your employess
- you can use infotype 0077 as a guide or create something unique
Further details available here
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_46c/helpdata/en/4f/d5268a575e11d189270000e8322f96/content.htm
Also if there are legal requirements for Personnel Departments to hold this data in the employees country you may be able to request it from SAP - on this basis that this is a legal requirement for the localized PA product (PA-PA-<country code>)

Hi Somdeb
Its only advised (by SAP) to use infotype 0077 for a desired country if SAP documentation for that country mentions explcitly its possible/delivered
That said if an international screen (XX screen usually used by MOLGA 99 countries) is available then it may also be technically 'available' for other countries too
- whether its advised to use it or not depends on the requirements (customer, legal etc) - for example in my internal system a MOLGA 99 country calls screen 2000 - however the standard international screen contains USA specific fields so it may not suit your purposes
The possibilities for using 0077 are as follows
1) Use the country specific screen for your country if delivered by SAP - please check if the country you want to use this for has a specific screen delivered in table V_T588M (client 000)
2) Alternatively your country may use the standard screen (usually called by MOLGA 99 countries) - you can check this by checking a PERNR belonging to your country and opening infotype 0077 in PA30 and see what screen is called in System-->Staus - as mentioned the standard screen in my internal system for 0077 contains USA country specific fields - so its entirely possible that the standard screen may not meet your needs
3) RE-USE either MOLGA 99 delivery or another country delivery for use with your country - this may require customizing and/or coding or even modifications to SAP standard
4) Create your own infotype as mentioned before using PM01
5) If its a legal requirement - ask SAP if they will consider releasing it as standard in PA product for that country
Best wishes
Stuart
Hi Somdeb
I anticipated this question and I cannot contradict my own and statements of other peers, and would request experts to comment. But as Stuart mentioned you can modify/customize/create the same and utilize for your purpose as most of the fields in the IT are US specific, the infotype is US specific but not unavailable for other countries as the tax infotypes. Share your idea of how you wanted to utilize the IT in out of US scenario.

Infotype 77 is not a country specific infotype so it won't appear in V_T582L - its likely this table
shows infotypes that are used by only 1 country
Infotype 77 is delivered for more than one country with different screens as standard and may also have a standard international screen too - but whether it can be used for all countries depends on the requirements
Hi Upen
You are correct - I can see the same infotypes listed for different country setttings in V_T582L
I guess the question is - why is 0077 not listed - we can see in V_T588M that there are country specific settings for 0077 - perhaps there are technical reasons for this
Its my feeling that SAP development have made this available via a standard screen to all countries if customers want - but its advised for standard use with certain countries as per SAP help documentation - other use is possible but not standard or advised
I hope this answers all questions
Best wishes
Stuart
Hi
I think the reason IT0077 is not listed in V_T582L is that it does not have subtypes. If you try to add a new entry in V_T582L, subtype is a mandatory field. In V_T582A, Infotype Attributes, IT0077 does not have the subtype checkbox set, whereas an infotype such as IT0006 does.
Therefore, the tables relevant to IT0077 would be V_T588M to determine screen control but also V_T582V, the Assignment of Infotypes to Views. For example, the UK specific view is 0998.
There is probably a lot more technically going on, but the above is my understanding!
There are a few SAP Notes relating to usage of IT0077 for the UK, so it may be worth your while doing a search to see if you can find anything helpful there if your country is not UK or US ....

Also the link provided earlier to create a infotype was to create an international infotype in the old ITF

Hi Somdeb
There is also a views of this infotype enabled for use in the UK, in relation to the recording of ethnicity. However, this was delivered by SAP to meet a country specific requirement, so it is unlikely you can just decide to adopt this infotype on a country by country basis.
Kind regards,
Alison

This is US specific Infotype so it may not be advisable to use for other countries, as it is mostly used for EEO reporting which is prevalent in US only.
