Failed to connect BPC 10.0 in Dashboard 4.0 (Thro EPM Connector)

Dear ALL,

I'm trying to create a Dashboard by connecting to BPC 10.0 through EPM Connector.

I have successfully installed the add-in and I'm following the steps to create a connection in Data Manager as shown below:

After I input the link of my BPC server, I could not input anything in the textboxes after, and I have totally no idea what should be the next step (I expected that it will prompt me for username/password input, and so I could select the desired Environment or Model or so).

Could anyone give me some hints what should I do next?

Hi Antony,

First of all You should create report using EPM - New Report - just like You do it in Excel (but you should use Local Connection). When report is generated you type in some cell =GetReportDefinition() and You will get very long text (smth like <structure><Report Name="Default Report" SheetName="Sheet1" MDX="SELECT &#xD;&#xA; ....). When it is done you go to EPMConnector, type your server name and link Report Definition to the cell with this long text. After you can create Refresh button and link it to EPMConnector. I can send You manual about this (manual for sap consultants).

Hi Antony,

to use the EPM Connector it is required to configure the connector first and establish connections to be used by the connector.

Hi Karsten,

I guess you may refer to a separate loop to see my reply.

Basically I'm following the user guide and up to the step to input Server URL. Just, I could not go any further after. The remaining texboxes are not accessible and I could not input anything.

Any hints?
